Common entrance exam conducted by IBPS (Institute of Banking Personnel Selection) for clerks.

About Examination :
The Common Written Examination will be conducted by IBPS for the clerical cadre vacancies in the leading 19 Public Sector banks. This test is conducted twice in the year for the same post. This the the opportunity for the candidates to give single Common Written Examination and get opportunity to get selected in 19 banks.

Eligibility Criteria :
Age limit : Minimum 18 years and maximum 28 years. ( relaxation in age as per government rule).
Educational qualification :
i) Candidate who are willing to apply must passed class 10th with minimum 60% marks. ( in case of SC/ST/OBC/EX-SM candidates are just passed).
OR
ii) Candidates are passed with 50% marks in intermediate (10+2). ( in case of SC/ST/OBC/EX-SM candidates are just passed).
OR
iii) Degree in any discipline from the recognized university/institutes.

Exam pattern :
There are five sections :
i) Test of reasoning = 50 marks
ii) Test of English language = 50 marks.
iii) Test of numerical ability = 50 marks.
iv) Test of computer language = 50 marks.
v) Test of general awareness with special reference to banking = 50 marks.
Total marks = 250 marks
Total time = 150 minutes.
Negative marking = .25 marks for each wrong answer.

Selection Procedure :
i) Candidates have to scored the minimum qualifying  marks in the written test are considered for the vacancies in the participating 19 banks, the cutoff will be decided based on the average 1/4 Standard Deviation for general category and 1/3 for reserved category candidates.
ii) After the written exam, the scorecard is provided to the qualifying candidates, this scorecard is valid for 1 year from the date of issue.
iii) Each participating Public Sector Bank is independent to issue a separate recruitment notification.
iv) Each participating banks will be shortlist candidates separately for GD and Personal Interview.
v) Based on the scorecard , the candidate can apply to the listed banks.

Application fees :
Rs.350/- (Rs.50/- for SC/ST/PWD candidates) can be paid online at the time of filling of application form through online banking/credit card OR through NEFT OR to be submitted in CBS branches in 6 banks out of 19 banks.
