Common Entrance Test, Punjab is the engineering entrance and also the B.ARCH entrance test. There is also the reservation for the resident and non-resident of Punjab. The test is conducted by the Punjab Technical University Jalandhar. There are about 200 engineering colleges affiliated to the university and many of them are really good like DAV college Jalandhar, Chitkara College Rajpura etc. the placement of these colleges are very decent.
Every year about 40000 students take this test to take admission indifferent colleges.
Eligibility Criteria :
The eligibility criteria of CET is :
A candidate must passed the 12 standard from Recognised Board / University as Physics, Maths and Chemistry as the main subject.
Reservation of seats :
There is also the reservation of seats in CET.
Residents of Punjab = 85%
Non- residents of Punjab = 15%
Application Fees :
The application fees of the CET test is Rs.600/- by post and Rs.550/- at counter.
How to apply :
To apply for the test, a candidate have to send the application form in the prescribed format with the application fees. The deposit of application fees by demand draft and than send this infilled application form with the application fees to the admission cell.
