There are several vacancies for junior engineers and assistants in Indian Oil Corporation, Brauni. The details for the candidates are given below :

1) Junior Engg. Asst. - IV (Production) Trainee :

Number of vacancies : 10 (UR-05, SC-02, OBC-03)

Pay scale : Rs.11900-32000/-, Trainee (stipend) Rs.11000/-

Qualification :

Candidate should have B.Sc. degree in physics, chemistry/ industrial chemistry and maths or diploma in chemical engineering.

Percentage of marks required :

For regular :

Candidate should have 55% marks in aggregate in physics, chemistry/ industrial chemistry and maths during B.Sc. OR 55% marks during diploma in chemical engineering with one year of experience.

For trainees :

Candidate should have 60% marks in aggregate in physics, chemistry/ industrial chemistry and maths during B.Sc. OR 60% marks during diploma in chemical engineering with one year of experience.

Experience :

i) Candidate should have minimum 1 year of experience in operations area in petro chemical/ fertilizers/ chemical/ large scale refinery/ process industry.

ii) Candidates for trainee do not require any experience.

2) Junior Engg. Asst. - IV (P&U) - Boiler :

Number of vacancies : 01 UR

Pay scale : Rs.11900-32000/-

Qualification :

i) Candidate should have diploma in electrical/ mechanical engineering from a government recognized institute OR

ii) Candidate should done B.Sc. (physics, chemistry, maths) from recognized institute. OR

iii) Candidate should done Metric + ITI( in any trade - minimum 1 year course) from a government recognized institute.

Note : IInd class Boiler Competency Certificate is mandatory for all candidates possessing any of the Qualification.

Experience :

Experience of 1 year in Boiler Operation is preferred.

Age limit (as on 31.07.2011) :

18 to 26 years ( age relaxation according to government rule )

Application procedure : 

i) Eligible candidates should send typed application form (dully signed) in the prescribed format on A-4 size plain paper with latest two photographs ( two copies).

ii) With the application you have to send the photocopies of marks sheets/ certificates ( all years/ semesters graduation/ diploma)/ age certificate/ caste certificate dully attested by the gazetted officer.

iii) A demand draft of Rs.100/- is send with the application form as the application fee (non-refundable) in favor of Accounts Officer, Indian Oil Corporation Ltd., Barauni Refinery payable at Begusarai. The crossed DD be issued by any branch other than SBI, BR campus branch.

iv) No other mode of payment will be accepted.

v) For outstation SC/ST/ex-SERVICEMEN candidates 2nd class bus/ railway fare is provided.

Selection Procedure :

i) First candidates must have to pass the written test.

ii) Candidates who passed the written test are called for the interview.

iii) Depending on the requirements, notification provided to the candidates.
