Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL) is a Navratna Public Sector Enterprise having its major operations in Delhi and Mumbai. MTNL, the only PSU with a listing in NYSE, is looking for bright, energetic and experienced professionals for the post of Senior Management Trainee, in Telecom & Marketing, at E-5 level. Details regarding vacancies,application procedure and qualifications are given below :

Qualification :
(a) For External Candidates:
(i) B.E./B.Tech. in telecommunication/ Electronics/Computer Science/Information Technology from a recognised University with a minimum of60% marks (55% for SC/ST candidates).
(ii) MBA (preferably with specialisation in Telecom related management/Systems) with a minimum of 60% marks (55% forSC/ST candidates). OR M.Tech. in any of the above disciplines with a minimum of 60% marks (55% for SC/ST candidates).
(iii) Two years experience in the respective field at Managerial level. The minimum experience should be attained after obtaining the prescribed educational qualification and should not include internship, apprenticeship etc.
(b) For Internal Candidates:
(i) Four years of work experience in MTNL in E-2 (Rs.20600-46500/-) or higher grade in Telecom(Electronics/Information Technology) field.
(ii) B.E./B.Tech. in Telecommunications/ Electronics/ Computer Science/Information Technology/Electrical Engineering from recognised University with a minimum of 55% marks (50% for SC/ST candidates). OR B.Sc. (First Class) from a recognised University and working as JTO in E-2 (Rs.20600-46500/-) or higher grade.
(iii) Where required qualification is B.E./B.Tech., candidates with qualification of M.Sc. (Electronics/Radio Physics/Wireless) are also eligible to apply.
Age limit : Below 30 years (for external candidates); Below 40years (for internal candidates).
2. Senior Management Trainee (Marketing) : Post Code: 02

Qualification :
(a) For External Candidates:
(i) B.E./B.Tech. in Telecommunications/ Electronics/Computer Science/Information Technology from a recognised University with a minimum of60% marks (55% for SC/ST candidates).
(ii) MBA (preferably with specialisation in Marketing) with minimum of 60% marks (55% for SC/ST candidates)
(iii) Two years experience in the respective field at Managerial level. The minimum experience should be attained after obtaining the prescribed educational qualification and should not include internship, apprenticeship etc.
(b) For Internal Candidates:
(i) Four years of work experience in MTNL in E-2 (Rs.20600-46500/-) or higher grade in Marketing Division.(ii) B.E./B.Tech. in any discipline OR MBA preferably with specialisation in Marketing with a minimum of 60% marks (55% for SC/ST candidates).
(iii) Where required qualification is B.E./B.Tech., Candidates with qualification of M.Sc. (Electronics/Radio Physics/Wireless) are also eligible to apply.
Age limit : Below 30 years (for external candidates); Below 40years (for internal candidates).
Age relaxation : For SC/ST candidates- Upto 5 years; For OBC candidates, who are eligible to avail reservation- Up to 3 years;For Ex-Servicemen- Ex-Servicemen who have put in at least six months of continuous service in armed forces of the Union shall be allowed to deduct the period of such service from their actual age and if the resultant age does not exceed by more than 3years the maximum age limit prescribed for the post for which the candidate seeks appointment, she/he shall be deemed to satisfy the condition of age limit.
Pay scale : Selected candidates shall initially be appointed as"Senior Management (Trainee)" in the IDA pay scale of E-4 Grade i.e. Rs.29100-54500/- (annual increment at 3% of Basic Pay).Candidates will also be paid HRA, Perks, Medical Benefits, LTCas per company rules. After successful completion of three years of training cum probation period, the candidate shall be confirmed as "Senior Manager" in the IDA pay scale of Rs.32900-58000/-
Application Procedure : (i) Application should be in the prescribed format which can be downloaded from the website www.mtnl.net.in
(ii) Application Fee of Rs.1000/- for General & OBC candidate sand Rs.500/- for all internal candidates & SC/ST/PH candidates of external category, should be paid through a Demand Draft,drawn in favour of 'Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd.' payable at New Delhi. Candidate's name & date of birth should be written on the back of DD.
(iii) Candidates should enclose- Caste certificate/PH certificate,if applicable; Forwarding Letter from the Controlling Officer in case of internal candidates and Demand Draft of prescribed value with the application. No other certificate or photocopy should be sent with the application.
(iv) Duly filled application should be sent, by normal post, to Post Box No.-7049, New Delhi-110002 so as to reach by 26th December, 2011.
Selection Procedure : Selection will be done on the basis of written test and interview.
